Little Women Audition Dates Apr 30th & May 1st
The audition sign-up form is active now!
Auditions will be held at Salem Elementary School. Enter through the south gym doors.
Read this entire overview prior to signing up! The show will run on Jul 18th-27th at Salem Hills High School.
A photo is required for registration It does not have to be a professional headshot; a decent selfie will do. We want to be able to associate a name with a face.
Every person must be registered individually. No "Family" registrations allowed.
We welcome all actors ages 16 and up. If you turn 16 during the run, you may audition. There may be a limited number of positions for younger children by invitation only.
Slots available on both dates from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Call backs will be held on May 4th between 9am-3pm. Not everyone will be asked to come to call backs. This does not mean you do not have a part in the show. Often, we are able to cast certain parts without a callback.
Come prepared to audition with 16 bars of a Broadway song that is in the style of the show. You will need to come prepared with a backing track. You can usually find them on YouTube by searching for the name of the song and karaoke. We will have a speaker and adapters.
Rehearsals will be Tue-Fri with occasional Saturday mornings. We will NOT accept any conflicts after the July 4th weekend without specific written permission by the director. Please note any conflicts prior to that date when registering. We work hard to minimize rehearsal time and thus expect everyone to be there on their assigned dates, prepared to rehearse.
SynopsisLouisa May Alcott’s beloved story of the adventures of the four March sisters is brought to vivid musical life in Little Women. The Civil War is in full swing, and the March sisters -- Meg, the oldest, a romantic, the spirited and tomboyish Jo, sweet and loving Beth, and irascible, playful Amy -- live in Concord, Massachusetts with their Marmee while their father is on the battlefield. Filled with adventure (both lived and imagined), heartbreak, and a deep sense of hope, the struggle of these “Little Women” to find their own voices mirrors the growing pains of a young America. With buoyant, joyful melodies, memorable characters, and a big-hearted message, Little Women reminds us that “sometimes when you dream, your dreams come true.”
