September 7th slots available from 9:00am to 12:00 pm
Come prepared to audition with an approximately one minute dramatic monologue that shows your storytelling ability as a "radio actor." Comedic and dramatic monologues will be accepted. You may want to pick something that shows your ability to portray suspense and fear. This is a Halloween show after all! The monologue should be memorized.
If you have not had time to memorize a monologue, we will have readings available for you there. Do NOT let that stop you from auditioning! No experience required.
Each actor will play multiple roles. You will play the radio actor and the character(s) from the radio episodes.
If you absolutely cannot make it to auditions, you may submit a video audition. Videos are due on Sept 6th. Create your audition on YouTube. Make the file public and send the link to [email protected]. You may also share a video file via Google Drive.
Rehearsals will be Tue-Wed. There will be mandatory rehearsals Mon-Wed the week of the show. If you have a conflict, please note it below. I work hard to minimize rehearsal time and thus expect everyone to be there on their assigned dates, prepared to rehearse. The week of the show is mandatory.
SynopsisSet in the 1940's, KSCT Radio, Salem's local station is hosting its fourth annual special Halloween event with a live studio audience. As the audience watches the station produce two "Old Time Radio" thriller classics, the night's festivities are interrupted by a haunting.
